Let’s Capture the Moments You’ll Treasure Forever

At Judi Jordan Photography you pay the same price for twins or multiples as you would for one baby.
We know family costs rise quickly with multiple babies especially, so we want to make it easier.
When you purchase an album from this session, you can get a second copy for half price.
Don't worry about if one baby is fussy and the other one is calm.

We work at the babies’ pace. We soothe, feed, and adjust as needed. Sessions include plenty of time for breaks.
We capture each baby alone and also create poses of them together.

6. What should we wear?
The best colors to wear if you are going to be in the photos with your baby are solid neutral colors, steer away from fine prints. Newborn photos are typically soft in color and the photographer wants your baby to be the high light of the images. Dark colors will distract from the baby and take away from the soft feel you are looking for. Off the shoulder dresses or blouses for mom photograph extremely well with a newborn. Be sure to bring extra outfits in case the baby has an accident on you doing or prior to you photos being taken.
7. How long will a newborn session take?
Your baby is the boss of the session. Your photographer will take the cues from the baby as far as when to stop for feedings, diaper changes and time to just be held. A session can take up to four hours. Sometimes it takes longer if mom didn’t adhere to the nursing guide. I recommend you bring something along to do while the photographer works with your baby.
8. Is it true newborns will eat more during their session than they do at home?
Yes! It’s true most babies eat a lot more during their session than normal, so be sure to bring extra bottles of formula or bottles of breast milk. The fuller the baby is the better they will sleep and give your photographer more time to get those precious photos.
9. I just love the poses of the babies when they’re sleeping, what I can do to insure my baby will sleep during the session?
The best photos of your baby will be when they are sleeping deeply. In order to help this happen it’s recommended that you do whatever it takes to keep your baby awake before go to your session. You want to be sure they are exhausted when they get to the session. It won’t be easy but it will be worth it.
10. I heard newborn photographers keep their studios around 80 degrees during the newborn session, why is that?
Babies sleep best when the studio is warm, if your session in your home be sure to turn the heat up in your house about 30 mins before your session. If it’s summer just close the windows and turn off the air.
Whatever effort it takes to get these precious photos of your baby is worth every second. You and your family will enjoy them for many years and generations to come.

1. When should I schedule the newborn session?
Call to schedule your session with your photographer way before your baby’s due date. After your baby is born you will be consumed with your role of caring for your newborn. You may also be sleep deprived, time will pass and then your baby will be several months old and before you know it- your baby is no longer a newborn.
Booking your session ahead of having your baby gives your photographer time to help you plan your session. Obviously you may not know the exact date your baby will be born, but newborn photographers will pencil in your date and give you priority if you’ve prepaid for your session.

2. How old should my baby be when we have the session?
The best window of time is between 5-14 days and at the very most a month old. When you photograph a baby when they are only a few days old you are more likely to get those cute sleepy curled poses like when they were in the womb.
3. I would like to get a family photo with my newborn during our session, but I worry about how my body will look right after I give birth.
The way you feel is completely understandable, but newborn photographers use flattering angles with the camera—and don’t forget the power of photoshop!
There is nothing like those images of you with your new baby, those looks of pure love and excitement. Not only will your child appreciate seeing what you looked like when they were born, but they will see just how much they were loved and wanted from the moment they were born. They will never be that little in your arms again.
4. Is there anything I can do to help the session go smoothly?
Yes, if you follow this nursing guide, (LINK) your baby will do fine during the session. New moms generally have no idea that what they eat will affect how comfortable their babies will be. For example having pizza the night before the session makes for a miserable baby with lots of gas.
5. My photographer wants to use a pacifier during our session, I’m worried my baby will require one after that.
The goal at your session is to get those cute newborn photos you have dreamt about. Sometimes pacifiers comfort the baby and helps keep them asleep during their session. If you never give them one again after that you won’t have a problem.
