Smash and Splash Birthday Session
The first birthday cake smash session is one of my absolute favorites! I love creating something special for each family who books a session. It wasn’t that many months ago they were brand new to the family, so tiny and so dependent. Now they’re so much more independent and showing their little personalities!
This little girl’s parents wanted a bright and white set up for her birthday photos. It was the perfect little set up for her because she had such a bright and cherry personality. She was happy about everything!
We started the session with some props mom and dad picked out from the many props I have in the studio. Then we brought out the cake. Some babies are a bit timid with the cake being set before them, but not this little one she went right for the cake. She didn’t make a big mess, but was messy enough to get some cute images! After the cake smash we brought out the bubble bath. Mom and dad blew lots of bubbles! It was fun seeing her interact with them. It was like her own private first birthday party!
It’s always so fun to see how everything comes together from the decorations, the cake, the cute little outfits and headbands. Then adding her little personality to the mix, we got some really adorable shots that she and her parents will cherish for many years to come.
